21 Million SLU publishes the BestOf.ad app. For help, corrections and privacy questions, email paul@21million.ad using the link at the bottom of this page. The link opens your email app; it does not send a message without your action.

Describe what happened and, if possible, include your iPhone model, iOS version, app version and the steps that led to the problem. For a listing, include its name or link. Screenshots are optional: hide personal notes and any other information we do not need. Do not send passwords or identity documents for routine troubleshooting.

Explore and plan your day

BestOf.ad runs on iPhone with iOS 18 or later, in French, English, Catalan and Spanish. You do not need an account. The app has no bookings, payments or in-app purchases.

Open a place and save it to your Notebook. Add a note, choose stops for My day, then use the edit control to reorder them. The plan follows your order; it does not calculate an optimized route.

Choose your language under Andorra → Settings. The Andorra tab shows places and their Google ratings on a Mapbox map. Zoom in to separate grouped pins, then tap a pin to access its place page.

Nearby map

The map in the Andorra tab has a native Around me button, a Full screen option and filters. Full screen keeps the same map, view and filters.

A tap on the native Around me button requests a single location fix, using only iOS permission while the app is in use (WhenInUse). An approximate location is accepted and shown as approximate. You can decline permission and keep using the map manually. Permission remains optional and can be changed in iOS Settings: after a denial, or when Location Services are off on the device, the app shows a Settings button.

Opening the map does not request your location, and it is requested neither at startup nor on returning to the foreground. There is no continuous or background tracking. Each new fix requires another tap; granting permission alone or a web-page message does not initiate one. Your position marker disappears when you tap Andorra overview, leave the Andorra tab, open a place or when the app goes to the background.

The map uses the BestOf catalogue covering Andorra, with at most 3,000 places per response: it is not a worldwide search and not an exhaustive list within a radius of you. The category filter applies to that catalogue; the minimum Google rating (any, 4 or 4.5) applies only to the places received. Seeing no results does not prove there are no places nearby: you can clear the filters or move the map.

The standard feedback link provided by Mapbox, available through the map credits, includes the viewed map center in its URL. That center may correspond to your location after recentering. The app asks for native confirmation before opening it externally, with the option to cancel. Mapbox and OpenStreetMap credits remain visible.

Using the app offline

The catalogue, search, place details and photos need a network connection. Your notebook stores BestOf references, your own notes and the order of your day. After closing and reopening the app offline, place names and details may be missing; your notes and chosen order remain available.

If a listing or photo does not load, check your connection and try again. A place removed from the catalogue or an unavailable image may still be inaccessible when you are online. Do not uninstall the app to fix this: you could lose your notebook.

Keeping or erasing your notebook

BestOf does not provide notebook sync between devices. System backups may include app data, depending on your settings; BestOf does not guarantee that a backup can be restored.

You can remove a place from your Notebook. To erase the whole notebook and recovery copies kept by the app, open Andorra → Settings → Erase notebook and confirm. This does not change your language choice or delete files you have already exported or backups managed separately.

If a recovery warning appears, read it before continuing or erasing anything. A recovery export, when offered, may contain personal notes, including older notes. Only send it if you mean to share its contents. If saving fails, keep the note open and retry before leaving the app.

Sharing and external services

Sharing My day includes place names when available, otherwise their references, the order of the stops and their URLs, not your personal notes. Choose a recipient in the iOS share sheet and check the content before sending it. A recovery export is a separate action: it may contain the original notes, encoded in base64. This encoding is not encryption; treat the file as a personal document.

Calls, establishment websites and map links open at your request and use the services concerned. BestOf does not book anything for you. Confirm opening hours, prices, availability and access conditions directly before visiting.

Report an error or a rights issue

Email us the listing link, the information or photo concerned and the correction you are requesting. For a rights issue, explain your connection to the content and provide useful supporting details. Being listed does not mean an establishment is a BestOf partner.
